Brainstorming on movie stupidities

I've been thinking about some movie stupidities (or, at least, i find them stupid), and i thought i could share them. Of course i am a subjective audience.
If there is someone who is actually reading my blog they would know that i am writing about one of the greatest novels in European literature, Wuthering Heights by Emily Bronte. Since it is going to take long time, i would like to share a few thoughts about a highly popular movie nowadays, and since this movie is related to this very book, i think i should talk about it: Twilight- Eclipse. Now i know that many people (mostly teenagers) love the saga and the movies, and there are things i like about the whole production (like the colors, the soundtrack the pretty view) but there are important things i find somewhat stupid.
First of all: dialogs. I am sorry to say but in the Eclipse I've heard some very stupid lines. There were some of them which have captivated me.
#1. Jacob and Bella are having a chat about her being in love with a vampire. He doesn't like the idea, he is trying to convince her that they are not even alive! Which is a very good point and a thing that even Gary Oldman has admitted and yet he was hot as hell (Lugosi Béla, even though he was considered a phenomenon in his time, nowadays he seems more like funny than scary, but we have to blame the general acting style of those days). And later he also sais something like:
-He is not as perfect as you think
-I know who he is. I mustn't talk about that.
OK, to be honest i don't understand the reason why she sais that. I mean, all right, you know who he is and yes, you must not talk about that except.....EVERY SINGLE PERSON IN THAT HOUSE KNOWS! I mean it is maybe me and my English, but i think a simple "I know who he is" was enough.
#2. Rosalie relating her human life to Bella. She sais that Bella is choosing wrong. She replies that she has never wanted anything as much as she wants Edward. And the blonde vampire sais something like:
- You are wrong again... (yest, that is possible) There is something you'l want even more....(woooow, i wonder what it is....could be blood?) You would even kill for it....(oook, now i am pretty sure it is blood) BLOOD! (Stop explaining EVERYTHING)
#3. There is something i just don't get. As far as i can tell (because i didn't have the patience to watch the 2nd movie) Edward and Jacob are trying to convince Bella not to give up her human life, not to become a vampire. Ooook, that is very nice and protective, because i am sure they know how awful is to be superb, strong and immortal (of course there is a price to pay, we know that since Tom Cruise and Brad Pitt have set the standards) but WHY???? Because as far as i get it she must become a vampire or must die. Period. So instead of trying to convince her to change her mind, they should be praying at least twice/day that she would NOT change her mind. (Honestly, i would like to see that happen, because that would convince me, that her love for the sparkling guy is deeper than just an opportunity to become superb, strong and immortal) And talking about Wuthering Heights, there is one more thing. You don't need a great deal of time to notice that the Jacob-Bella-Edward love triangle is very similar to the Heathcliff-Cathy-Edgar love triangle (just as the Stefan-Elena/Katherine-Damon love triangle or 4angle...or poliangle...or whatever; also Stephanie Meyer told that the 3rd book was inspired from Wuthering Heights) But i would like to see something of Heathcliff's deepness, Cathy's passion and Edgar's goodness (even though he is more complicated than that). But these characters are just waaay too good. And Jake speaks...with...long...pauses. Bella is shy....all the time. And Edward is suffering all the time. Oh, and when his girlfriend kisses Jacob, and there is the I'm-in-love-with-both-guys dialogue ("You love him". "Yes. But i love you more." "I know") this is not how it happens. OK, grown-ups have complicated feelings (divorcing parents tell this to their children all the time, in the movies, at least they do), but this is not the way it happens in life. "I love him, but i love you more." "OK." That is it? C'mon!!!! I am not picking on the actors, i am not telling that i could have done a better job. No, i couldn't. I know very well, that acting is not as simple as it seems to be. They have some very good moments, but they are just...backing off. I don't get it! It could be the script's fault. (Not to mention that she had to Google to find info about vampires. And to realise that he is one of them. It took ME 20 seconds, without knowing that the movie was based on a vampire book.)
#4. The message: get married to a good-looking guy, who can fulfill all of your wishes, don't go to college. It is fine, you have all the time in the world. And you can safely say that you have succeeded in life.
Thank heaven almost nobody is reading my blog, so probably no Twilight fan will kick my ass. So, it could be smarter, but...it isn't.
But i am not through with vampires yet. Tru Blood. I've seen a few episodes, i liked it (apart from the accent). But there is 1st season final. Arlene Fowler (played by Carrie Preston, who is very angelic and lovely with blond hair....but as a red-head....well....) sais to Sookie something like: "Next time i have a boyfriend you have to read his mind because i don't know who to trust anymore." OK, Renee is a freaking bastard. She is right to be shocked. BUT Sookie has more reasons since that son of a bitch has took everything from her: has killed her grandmother, has put her brother in jail (by killing his girlfriend and turning him into a suspect) and he has even tried to kill her. So, yes, it is very sad what has happened to Arlene but Sookie has all the reasons to feel lost. OK, Arlene is probably blaming herself for all the problems and tragedies (after all, she was Renee's girlfriend), but the way they put it, the way they say it....it sounds somewhat selfish.
Finally: Casino Royale. I really like this movie, i do. I love the way Daniel Craig is playing James Bond , and Eva Green...is one of my favourite actresses (i always thought she was taller). I just don't understand ONE thing. "Le Chiffre". This is the character's name. This is how he appears on MI6's website (!!!!!), this is how they call him in the casino. May i have a simple question? Is this really his name? I mean...if the MI6 is that smart, shouldn't they know his real name (you know, the one he had when he was baptised, long before he has decided to become a villain), since all of the other villains' name appear correctly on the website. At least, they are names. But Le Chiffre? Is this really the name on his credit card, on his cable bill? Because i thought he was called like that because he was a genius in mathematics. And he is called like that because this way is obvious that he is really...a villain! By the way, it seems to be obvious to everyone. Or what? In the casino he is called "Le Chiffre", he knows who Bond is, Bond knows who he is....it seems they all know each other. Where is the secrecy in that? And what is the secret of a good script?
Apart from the name, i don't have problems, as the audience, with this movie. And i really love the soundtrack too.
So these were my recent discoveries of movie stupidities...and now i would probably go and read....it makes one smart.
